The facility directors, Roberto and Alma, explain their inspiration for creating this wonderful facility.

Nuevo Creaçion Niños (New Creation Kids) Orphanage (Albergue) in La Paz, Mexico

The facility directors, Roberto and Alma, explain their inspiration for creating this wonderful facility.

(Watch the video above and meet some of the children at the orphanage.)

Up to 30 children are under legal guardianship of this orphanage at any given time. Their parents are unable or unfit to take care of them for a myriad of reasons.

leaders2give works to oversee operational procedures, financial operations, fundraise, recruit volunteers and more.

The children look forward to visitors to play with (especially when they bring pizza and ice cream!) and they are always appreciative of those who can lend a hand in helping them have the chance they deserve.

A donation of $25 covers the cost to support one child for 10 days which includes shelter, food, and school expenses. It takes a (global) village!

El Cardonal Children's Home
One of the most exciting projects we are working on is a New Orphanage in El Cardonal, BCS, Mexico.

This project was inspired by a woman who had to leave her children in the slums mentioned above because she had a sick child whom she needed to travel with to get care.

A site has been donated and plans have been drawn up, but much help is needed to construct the new facility which will be able to take in the children like the ones who inspired it.

The 'Colonies' in BCS, Mexico
The colonies is a shanty town in San Jose Del Cabo in BCS, Mexico—thousands live in these slums.

They lack basic necessities like proper shelter, food, electricity, garbage collection and running water. Crime rates are high.

leaders2give helps to organize donations and volunteers, but so much is needed to help uplift the people living here in extreme poverty.

East Cape Health Center
Founded in 2000, East Cape Health (a.k.a. East Cape Community Urgent Care Clinic) provides high-quality medical, dental, pediatric, optical and specialist care to those living in and visiting the East Cape in Mexico's Southern Baja region. They improve the quality of life for local families through early detection and treatment of infection and disease. They provide medical and dental care to all children under 18 at no cost to their families.

East Cape Health believes that every life has an equal value. It doesn’t matter if your family is rich or poor, privileged or not, every child should have the same opportunities for happiness and success.

The East Cape Health Center provides free medical services to all the children at New Creation Kids Albergue which is the orphanage leaders2give supports. They have pledged they will do the same for the new orphanage in El Cardonal once it is built.
East Cape Guild
The mission of the East Cape Guild is to provide educational benefits for the students residing in the East Cape.

Established in 1997 as a Mexican nonprofit, the Guild awards scholarships to students over a broad geographic area from El Cardonal to the north, El Triunfo to the west and Cabo Pulmo to the south, and all the small ranches and towns in between.

Preparatoria, or high school, is not fully-funded by the Mexican government, and tuition, transportation, and other costs are $300-$500 USD annually per child. For the average family, these costs are out of reach and even more so for the families in the many distant ranches and small communities.

Supporting students and their continued learning will create the leaders for our future.
Feeding the Hungry
The Los Barriles Feeding the Hungry Programs support families in our community suffering from poverty and food insecurity by providing them a voucher worth 250 peso (≈$12 USD) every week for the entire year. These vouchers can be redeemed at Chapitos supermarket to purchase food, medicine or other essential supplies. Currently around thirty local families are involved in receiving assistance from the Feeding the Hungry Programs.

In addition to regular fundraising, the Los Barriles Feeding the Hungry Family Sponsorship Program is looking to identify individuals who would be willing to support a local family with a small commitment of just US $1.80 a day, ($650 USD per year).

The Feeding the Hungry Fashion Show has supplemented this initiative and helped additional families in the community. The arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic unfortunately necessitated the cancelling of the 2020 spring fashion show. They intend to continue the Feeding the Hungry Fashion Show when it is safe to do so.

The Feeding the Hungry Family Sponsorship Program is a 1-year commitment from our donors of $650 USD. This amount guarantees the sponsored family will receive a voucher each week for a year. The program is currently sponsoring about 32 families. Smaller donations are welcome also. All the money received is used to purchase vouchers.

We are constantly amazed by the generosity of people in the community and elsewhere that are so willing to help those in need in the Los Barriles Area. Thank you!

Salam Squamish Refugee Support
International aid organizations estimate that there are hundreds of thousands—possibly millions of displaced people from Syria and other neighbouring countries, homeless and impoverished as a result of the civil war that has been raging there since 2011.

'Salam Squmaish Refugee Support' is a 'Group Of Five' underwriting commitments by a 'Sponsorship Agreement Holder' as designated by the Government of Canada, working to help people, certified by the UNCHR (United Nations High Commission of Refugees) as people fleeing from war, disaster or persecution from home and who have the right as deemed by the United Nations, to find refuge in Canada where they can start a new life filled with hope, security and freedom.

Past Initiatives
Los Barriles Food Bank (Past Initiative)
leaders2give teamed up with the Los Barriles Food Bank (LBFB) to help feed those in need in Los Barriles, Mexico and its surrounding communities. It was a community driven, temporary, emergency initiative in response to COVID-19.

Most of the town was shut down due to the pandemic. It was a very serious situation that had developed and, thankfully, there was a dedicated crew at ground zero to help organize this effort in partnership with The Delegacion de Los Barriles (The Mayor's Office.)

For most of the 8 month duration of the program, the LBFB provided food parcels to over 900 families (feeding 4,000 to 5,000 people a week.)

In keeping with our mission to build community leaders, a local youth, selected by leaders2give, assisted the LBFB in the collection and organization of food, in helping to identify needy recipients, and in distributing food packages to members of his or her community.

Rotary Interact Kids (Past Initiative)
In partnership with the Rotary Club of Los Barriles, MX, leaders2give helped raise funds to send 9 students on a leadership retreat organized by leaders2inspire.

They were hand selected for achieving excellent grades, helping with household responsibilities, volunteering, etc.

They enjoyed a 6 day guided kayaking/camping adventure in British Columbia learning leadership skills, improving their English and experiencing Canadian and First Nations culture. These future leaders took this valuable experience back to their community.
